Drifting into History
I saw a woman today
Walking down the street
She was drifting into history.
Her loneliness and her illness
Were entangled with her smile.
She was drifting into history.
In those approaching moments,
Warmth of life and chill of death.
She was drifting into history.
And when she passed away,
She was just behind me,
Drifting into history.

Poetic Review of the IPOD Touch
I got my ipod touch pre-ordered in the UK. And I have spent a long while thinking about the review and writing a poem about it. Here it is:)
In summary, the "scratch-magnet" back is really an appalling fault in what is otherwise something close to perfect in terms of concept and design.
Poetic review of the IPOD Touch
I have the obilisc from 2001 in my pocket,
But it has wi-fi, weighs four point two ounces
Remove the point what have I got?
This pointless meaningless life to touch
Without any real function, you do so much
You sing to me via em-pa-thee
You are so minimally more than all before
When you sleep your depths shine black
My sense of wonder blooms, you tube.
You are media-tech-love viagra
You ooze your very own vitreous lube.
But on one half turn
I learn
That your back is scratched
Your metallic ass thatched
Cracks in the egg,
Turkey hatched?

The BBC Can Kiss My Fat Media Pipe (First poetic review of Iplayer)
I remember years ago, as I basked in foreign bytes.
The BBC I player.
The player for I.
Over years wired news flow.
My saliva;
Perhaps the very girth of my techno-fetishist-gristle, did grow.
I was alpha for the beta.
I would have been epsilon.
Just to get on.
To try.....
To try...
The BBCi(player).
This eve I was invited,
Into the beta I went excited.
I signed up.
Media-aroused.
I browser
Browsed
Until the moment where truth is true,
Where reality is presented to you,
The BBC deserve a POX,
For BBCi wont chase the Fox.

Between Google and The Government
I want someone to look after my data,
And relate my data to me.
I want someone to look after my data,
That someone who isn't me.
So who should I choose to do this,
To manage my freedom's edge?
States who in the past,
Have shifted from their pledge?
Or should I choose a group,
Whose currency is truth,
Assured that all will test them,
In critical rolling proof.
The slightest mote of doubt,
Their empire does implode,
I pack up my bag, my mail, my blogs:
Yahoo. F5. Reload.

Non-Haiku Review Of Foldera
I have signed up and signed in for the first time.
I am in darkness.
It has asked me for my first folder.
A folder is like a category or project.
I need to invite another.
I invite two.
It has the functional googleesque aesthetic,
Chunky. Ajaxy... and the cascading style.
It doesn't have a mobile view.
Rememberthemilk has this.
That is close to essential.
It has some interface elements,
I haven't seen before. And they are good.
There is a wholeness and unity,
I haven't seen before. And I have sought;
from the base-camp to the summit.
But like all babies that splatter into the web,
Mewling and puking,
This one has a slowness about it.
The need to grow.
Streamline.
8/10 (So far)

Abraham’s Syllogism, Discuss.
If you live your life how we tell you it should be lived,
Then you will have an eternity of bliss.
If you believe what we tell you to believe,
Then you will have an eternity of bliss.
If not, then you will have an eternity of suffering.

The Man Who Taught Me How Not To Dance
White pants, white shirt in a kung fu styling.
He claimed the floor,
Then he claimed it some more,
As I sat and idly eyed him.
He had rhythm for sure, (maybe needed some more)
But something wasn’t cohering,
And as he danced and swirled
And eyed the girls.
I saw uncool horizons nearing.
Exactly what was amiss?
Was he taking this piss?
Just down for the crack?
The penny dropped,
He swirled, faux delirious:
At thirty five dancing,
Enjoy the prancing,
But never take it serious.
I guess this poem is meaningless unless you know I am this man’s age and, like him, I also like to dance below my age. Its a conundrum for sure, but one that has a solution.

Julie's Poem: The Centipede
Centipede, thou crawly beast,
Fungus is thy midnight feast.

To my wife
In a tropical paradise
Starring at the sea
What steals the paradise
Is that it’s only me
Fresh Limed Papaya
Royal Thambili
What dulls my taste
Is that its only me.
Rattle of the waves
Hums of serendipity
What makes the notes so flat
Is that its only me.

My Love Of Tech
My Love Of Tech
I love tech. I really do. I was sitting here writing something for work and it struck me how much I love tech.
My love affair with tech began in 1980 when on holiday in
The calculator was the absolute business in terms of what it could do for an 11 year old boy who was really bad at maths. This was until the ZX81 came out and, for Christmas in 1982, I got one. Then I was really hooked.
I loved then and I love still the way technology can give you more time and freedom and challenge than its absence.
This one goes out to my wife....
An Ode To Tech
You can be beautiful. The way you make see.
Tech is not soul.
Tech is things and systems that can help you.
Tech is funk.
Your life better. Easier. More interesting.
I look at the tech in my world.
I see extension. Limb. Faculty.
Good tech stays good for an age.
Fades but is respected always.
Bad tech dissolves, if it even starts.
This inhenent efficiency enforces quality and value.
Is this the same with cars or ready meals?
Tech is not the application of technology, it is the technology.
